The LGC offers a comprehensive array of personnel services to member cities and towns. These quality services are coordinated and provided by a staff of personnel specialists with years of experience and training in the field.
Our Personnel Services staff can provide guidance to aid member communities in drafting job descriptions, employment agreements, performance evaluations and personnel policies, and customized document preparation service is available. Our Personnel Services Advisor can also provide assistance with collective bargaining and union grievances, as well as interim human resource management.
We maintain a comprehensive collection of sample job descriptions, employment agreements and related documents available for review upon request. We'll work with you to identify specific goals and needs, and provide a tailored selection of documents relevant to your unique community.
Our professional recruitment service is designed to facilitate the hiring process for member local governments, and our pay and classification studies assist municipalities with establishing a wage structure and complete job descriptions. Because LGC is nonprofit, these services are offered at a typically lower cost than services provided by the private sector, and our staff is well versed in local government employment needs.
At LGC, we conduct an annual wage, salary and benefits survey of all New Hampshire cities and towns, publishing the resulting information in the Wage, Salary and Benefits Survey for Municipalities. This data serves as the source for customized reports, which are currently offered at no cost to members.
