Pay and Classification Studies

Pay and classification studies provide communities with a customized wage plan for their employees. LGC’s studies are built upon a solid set of job descriptions for the positions being studied and, using a factor evaluation system, a classification plan is developed. Once positions are classified, a pay structure is established for each job classification. This pay structure is based on market comparisons with other governmental agencies and, occasionally, with the private sector. A sound and equitable compensation plan is a must in attracting and retaining high caliber employees, and we can provide communities with just such a plan.
