Property-Liability
Our Property-Liability Trust (PLT) was created to share the risk of property losses and liability exposure of our members, which include New Hampshire schools, counties, municipalities and quasi-municipal entities. Member contributions to PLT make participation in our loss prevention and risk management programs available.
We partner with our PLT member groups to help identify, understand and protect against potential risk exposures. Our PLT representatives have extensive backgrounds in municipal and school risk management and maintain a "member first" philosophy to successfully administer claims for our members’ benefit.
The PLT provides protection to members—plus their officials, employees and volunteers—in the following areas per our Member and Educators’ Member agreements:
- Property (covering member property for physical damage, destruction or theft)
- Crime and faithful performance
- Public Official Schedule Bonds
- Third-party liability protection
- Public official
- Professional
- General
- Automobile
- Employee benefits
- Legal fee protection (specialty defense only reimbursement)
- Medical expense reimbursement
As an added service to PLT members, the LGC makes available an Employment Law Hotline. It's staffed by qualified attorneys to answer your employment-related questions. To learn more, download a PDF of our Employment Law Hotline brochure.
We also reimburse PLT members for attending nonviolent crisis prevention and intervention training. Get more details by downloading a PDF of our Crisis Prevention & Intervention brochure.
